Eighty percent of the calls Paige Sutton and Erin Wallace field at Daddy’s Moving repeat the same dozen questions. We wrote the answers down. If yours isn’t here, the phone line at (888) 278-9005 is open Monday through Saturday and the quote form kicks off a same‑hour callback from Cole Whitmore.

Pricing & deposits

Local hourly is $119, two movers and a truck — the lowest rate in the corridor. Flat figures cover most jobs. The $99 deposit holds your date and credits to the final bill.

Job Figure
1BR flat $349
2BR flat $749
3BR flat $1,395
LD base $1,895
Piano / heavy‑item $299
Load‑help only $79 / hr
Booking deposit $99 credited
Tue‑Thu discount 10% off local flats

The weekday discount

Book Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and the flat or hourly rate drops 10‑percent. Paige books these slots first because our schedule is lighter those days — same crew, same truck, lower number.

Scheduling

Two weeks ahead for a midweek local, four for a Saturday, longer around Santa‑Cali‑Gon Days over Labor Day weekend. Erin Wallace on dispatch confirms the loading window the night before, with a text update if I‑70 traffic shifts the route.

  • Midweek local — 2 weeks ahead is plenty
  • Saturday local — 4 weeks ahead
  • Labor Day weekend — book by July
  • Long‑distance — 3 weeks ahead recommended

Storm‑season protocol

April through June, Brooklyn sits on Tornado Alley’s eastern edge with real severe‑storm watches. We tarp every load, and January ice storms sometimes shut down I‑70 for a day — we build a weather buffer into any Feb‑March booking.

If a storm watch hits your date Erin will call to reschedule the loading window. No upcharge.

Long‑distance

Binding flat from $1,895 for Long Island, Bedford-Stuyvesant and comparable distances. Queens, Boston, Washington DC, Miami, Jersey City, Chicago and Crown Heights step up by mileage. Marcus Dunn runs the LD crew. The figure is binding, not estimated.

Route Flat from
Brooklyn to Columbia $1,895
Brooklyn to Bedford-Stuyvesant $1,395
Brooklyn to Jersey City $2,195
Brooklyn to Queens $2,595

What Sets Us Apart

Why Brooklyn Households Stay With Daddy's Moving

Licensing Closed Before Move Day

Fully licensed NY household-goods mover, DOT and MC authority filed for interstate work, full-value cargo protection on every move — whether it’s a Park Slope apartment walk-up or a Brooklyn-to-Dallas haul on the Belt Parkway, every legal stack is closed before Jordan’s crew rolls.

No Hidden Fees, Ever — In Writing

No fuel surcharge, no stair fee, no weekend markup, no credit-card fee tacked on at the end — the figure on the quote is the figure on the receipt. Floor runners and door-jamb pads go on before a single tote gets carried, every time, no mid-move upsell.

Owner-Walked Estimates, Brooklyn Intake Line

Call any weekday and Wyatt Colson walks the estimate himself; call on a packed weekend and Paige Sutton handles intake from the Brooklyn desk. Both Brooklyn movers at your door are W-2, background-checked, and trained inside the 36th Street bay — never leased, never temp, never sourced same-day.

One Written Brooklyn Price, No Curbside Surprises

The figure Cole sends from the Brooklyn estimator desk is the same figure on your final receipt — never an hourly clock dragging into evening, never a fuel surcharge tacked on at the curb, never a heavy-item line the office never mentioned.

Four Lines, A Signed Flat Rate, And Wyatt’s Countersign

Wyatt pulls the calendar against the 36th Street schedule and writes the binding figure on letterhead, and the reply lands in your inbox inside the hour. No hidden fees, ever, no chase calls if you walk.
